Paddle and Picnic

A full day 10am to 4pm paddling, includes an easy going introduction to the past-time of sea-kayaking. We will stop off at remote beaches or stony coves for a delicious picnic bursting with tastes of west cork local produce. Enjoy the scenery up close and from a perspective never seen before. Discover places only accessible by kayak and be amazed by nature’s colourful and creative flare. Fancy a swim or snorkel and maybe catch a fish, the adventure opens up to you on the day. A basic level of fitness is required as we will pace the day to your abilities. We provide all kayaking equipment and more, so bring your sense of adventure and a towel.

Paddle and Explore

This is our half day tour, from 10am to 1pm , 2pm to 5pm or 6:30 -9:30pm (summer time only). It includes an easy going introduction to the past-time of sea-kayaking. We can enjoy the rocky coast line, explore the rock pools, caves & arches and learn a little about wild food cooking and local history.

Enjoy a cuppa on the beach, try catching a fish, take some pictures, go for a swim, it all depends on you and the weather. A basic level of fitness is required, we supply all kayaking equipment and more, so bring your sense of adventure and a towel.

Sunset and Moonlight

One of our most talked about trips, starts an hour before dark and is reliant on safe weather conditions prevailing.There is something magical about Sea Kayaking at night! Maybe it’s the quietness of the world, where all the sounds of the sea are amplified.

The heightened sense of awareness, beautiful night skies, lighthouses guarding us as we paddle....the magic of the wonder of phosphorescence, lighting up as our paddles / Kayaks as they glide through the water.

For this trip we restrict numbers to ensure extra attention for our customers and added safety measures are in place as we paddle by night with regular head counts and additional lighting features in place.

This trip can be finished at various points that can allow for social gatherings where you can enjoy and après trip pint!

Welcome to our 2013 season. We are one of THE premier providers of quality Sea Kayaking Tours and training courses in Ireland. Since we started in 2002 we have guided many people around the fantastic Cork coastline and trained many to become safe, independent and adventurous Sea Kayakers. Living on the coast Jon & Alayne live and breath ocean. Surfing and Mountain biking also form part of their daily diet of adventure's.

Alayne & Jon - started out as H2O Extreme in January 2002. At that stage Jon was one the most active and qualified White Water Kayaking Instructors in Ireland. By booking a trip or course with H2O you will benefit from their extensive Outdoor adventure experience, training and qualifications which span over 20 years.

Jon ran exciting Alpine Kayaking Holidays for many Irish paddlers as well as numerous trips to the mighty Zambezi, the Himalayas and elsewhere. We even pioneered the development of Swift Water Rescue Training here in Ireland. He has surfed in Mexico, South Africa, Indonesia, France and Portugal. In Mountain biking he has achieved many great results and in summer 2012 he completed one of the worlds toughest races, The Transalp Mountain bike race over 8 days across the Alps.
